This week wasn't really exciting in the world of tech coach at SHS. I was out on Monday having some medical testing (nothing to worry about - just a recheck) and I had to take a group to HOSA regional competitions yesterday, so it was a short week.
So why am I so tired???
Just kidding.
I did get a couple of requests for help this week. I had to reconnect somebody's Elmo to the box to connect to the projector. If you don't know what an Elmo is, it's a document camera/projector. I love the Elmo. I share one with my co-worker and she didn't know exactly how to set it back up to use with her computer. She'd plugged the Elmo back to the wall box, but didn't have the computer plugged into anything. She wanted to run the computer to the wall box by running it through the Elmo, which was the way I first saw the system plugged the first time I saw the Elmo. I needed a little help, too, though. She DID know that I needed to press F8 to get her computer to display properly when running it through the Elmo. I'd been removing the computer's connection from the wall and plugging in the Elmo cable when I used it in my room. Now that I know this, I can just disconnect from the computer end... you learn something new every day.
On Monday I have to peek at someone's computers and call one of the guys at the technology office about installing those programs I emailed them about a couple weeks ago.
